Experience:
Working at My Right 2 Voice for the past 3+years as a Specialist Support Coordinator, and now Complex Practice lead.
Previous experience consisted of:
Support Coordinator before becoming a Team Leader.
Casual support worker, assisting those with mental health diagnoses to achieve their goals and increase their capacity to access the community.
Specialisation:
I have an interest in supporting clients with multiple and complex needs.
I am passionate about supporting individuals to bridge service system gaps that are posing barriers to them achieving their goals.
Achievements & Success Stories:
I have been able to support many high-risk clients navigate points of crisis and transition. I have been able to support those at risk of homelessness or those experiencing breakdowns in services.
Success Story:
I worked with a young man who was in a precarious living situation due to their complex relationship with their primary guardian. The client had been evicted from their home on multiple occasions and was at risk of homelessness. I supported the client to find accommodation and completed a VCAT application to request guardianship and financial administration. I unfortunately did not continue working with this client due to going on maternity leave but following allocation of a new SC the guardianship application was successful and their placement in the accommodation has continued. I am incredibly proud of the role that I played in supporting this young man to change his life. He can now continue to work with his new SC and with more stability in his life he can continue to achieve his goals.

"I work in this industry because it is an opportunity to utilise my skills to help others to make positive changes in their lives."
